About Grove Farm

Grove Farm is a family farm growing arable crops including wheat, barley, sugarbeet, beans, Oilseed rape and rents land for potatoes to a neighbouring farmer.

The land is both owned and rented and includes farming for the Suffolk Wildlife Trust at Foxburrow Farm. Having good relations with our neighbours, such as the Wildlife Trust, or farmers that we work closely with including bringing  in their harvests, is an important element of the farm.

Grove Farm is a member of LEAF and the Red Tractor Scheme which promote good practice across the farming industry. It participates in the Countryside Stewardship Scheme and is a member of Suffolk FWAG which encourages farmers to take responsibility for their land through land management, such as, field margins, water course management etc.

Grove Farm is committed to looking after the environment and is developing wildlife corridors, beetle banks, protecting land from water run-off and planting bird seed and nectar mixes to encourage wildlife and birds across the farm.

Education and Community relationships are an essential part of farming life and Grove Farm enjoys supporting local schools and education initiatives such as the Suffolk Agricultural Association Tractors into Schools, the School Farm Fair and Crop to Shop. It welcomes schools and group visits to the farm and also going into schools to promote farming and good land management practice.
